Ministry of Defence To Decide Fate of the Portsmouth Dockyard

Today the MOD are starting their analysis of operations at the Portsmouth Dockyards where they currently have a BAE shipyard. Currently three BAE shipyards are under review - one at Portsmouth Dockyard and the other two on at Scotstoun and Govan on the River Clyde in Glasgow. The main purpose of the assessment is to look for ways to reduce costs.

HMS Victory Given To Portsmouth Charity

The Ministry of Defence has kindly given the historic battleship HMS Victory to the newly formed HMS Victory Preservation Trust. This gift secures the HMS Victory at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard site where the Museum of the Royal Navy is located.

Financially Stricken Portsmouth FC Make Redundancies

Financially struggling Championship side Portsmouth FC have made around 30 redundancies behind the scenes to help keep the club afloat.

The news came yesterday after the club when into administration for the second time in three seasons and was deducted 10 points by the FA last week.
